[delurk] I imagine fire had something to do with it. Even a lion might go onto easier prey when confronted with ten or twelve of our ancestors brandishing burning sticks. I am no expert but I imagine as intelligence developed, body strength might have been retained until it became an uneccessary burden[/lurk]
