  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My oldest rolled over at 3 months on the day. She sat up at 4 and was crawling by 6.
However, my other two worked at their own pace.

I couldn't tell you if cloth has anything to do with it the youngest babe I cd was 8 months old.

My son rolled over REEEEALLLY early (like a week old), and started crawling around 4.5 months. He didn't start sitting up until a few weeks after he started crawling.

I think all babies go at their own paces...a lot of the babies at our church nursery are 6 months old and not crawling or sitting up yet.

Yeah, when she has no diaper on, she throws her leg over and can almost get there, but her little shoulder doesn't quite get out of the way. I'm allowing her less and less "nakey" time now to practice because it chilly in the house (we had a high of 30 degrees today, so the house was about 65).

Good to know! It's good to have a reminder that everyone is different! I was really early with all of the physical stuff (teeth at 3 months, walking waaay early), but really late on the verbal stuff. My sis was the exact opposite. She was talking in full sentences with no teeth!

Jonathan was consistantly rolling at 2 or 3 months. I'd have to really look, but I know I have video of it.

He's been crawling all this month, but started with it last month. Only this month has he started rocking on his knees though. He's got two teeth and more coming. I have a feeling he'll have a good set before he hits 8 months... which explains the extra crankiness... and nearly no sleep on his part.

According to my mom I didn't start really getting teeth until closer to 6-8 months but I was walking at 9 (not cruising, walking!). If Jonathan keeps up with the curve he has, he'll be sitting up on his own, without me or DH suggesting, and pulling up. Right now, things on the top of the end tables interest him and he looks, but he hasn't started reaching yet. I won't be too surprised if he starts cruising once he pulls up. I'm just scared of him falling backwards on his head's all.....
