It'll shoot back up before too long but it's nice to have a reprieve for a bit.
We Americans really need to stop complaining about our gas prices. They aren't that bad.
I paid roughly $3.73 per gallon today, though I buy premium and have a small tank. Why should we stop complaiming? We were hijacked into a particular economic model with gas at its center and then the price goes up well out of line with inflation. We have much legitimate reason to complain.
Nope. But don't give him any credit, either. He had nothing to do with the fact gas is at $2.76 in Kansas City this morning.

Well, if Obama is to blame when the prices go up then surely he should be praised when they go down. I realize that all too often this forum is a right wing hate fest for Obama but at some point some of these critics have got to apply their ''principles'' on a consistent basis.
He has no real input on gas prices. People precieve all good and bad in the country to rest on the President. He is to blame for Obamacare though.
Actually this is not necessarily entirely true. A president with a good relationship with a large oil producing country could convince them to increase their production as to lower the price of oil and with it gas prices typically drop also. It is only when all the oil producing countries are operating at maximum output that he cannot convince someone to increase production. I believe the Saudis increased their oil production around the time of Operation Desert Storm perhaps Bush talked them into it and we have cheaper gas prices during that war than before it.He has no real input on gas prices. That's not what has happened, though Presidents Reagan, Bush I and Bush II all proved that your scenario can work.Actually this is not necessarily entirely true. A president with a good relationship with a large oil producing country could convince them to increase their production as to lower the price of oil and with it gas prices typically drop also.
Yikes!! $4.93US a U.S. gallon? I'm sorry.1.16 Canadian
Yes. Takes 3.8 liters to make a U.S. gallon, current exchange rate is one U.S. dollar per 1.12 Canadian dollars ... do the math, it equals $4.93US (with a point seven added on).1.16 per litre.
