Out of curiosity, for Adventists who frequent here, how much of Ellen White's writings have you read?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Out of curiosity, for Adventists who frequent here, how much of Ellen White's writings have you read?
The Conflict of the Ages series and probably 5 or 6 others as well as three compilation devotionals... we read a chapter a night of SOP as well as other SDA authors, so hopefully, we will get through most of her stuff.

Steps to Christ--the Testamonies, Cnflict of the ages series, Ministry of Healing, Thoughts from the Mt of Blessing, Spiritual Gifts Vol 1 and 2, several manuscripts, and others I can't remember right now.

If any of you have not read early writings yet I suggest you do so. Many of the comments that are debated about Ellen White come from there. And it also outlines a lot of the themes of the early movement.
Incidentally I am glad you all have read Steps to Christ. I rather liked that one. Read it in one sitting the first time when I was pretty young. Not saying I agree with everything in it, but was a good book.
Another interesting book was Conflict. It is very short, all on the temptation of Jesus.

I had read them as a young girl--my stepmother had them--when I came back to church I reread them--yah--it takes a while!
