It can actually be worse to be alone AFTER a relationship, because you have had a taste of what it's like to NOT be alone, after which going back to being single, especially against your will... it's not fun at all.

My last relationship caused me to question my sexuality.

Seriously though, I'm almost five years out and I'm JUST NOW feeling the motivation to possibly date. I wanted nothing to do with the dating scene after my last one ended, and it had nothing to do with that person. I just needed a break.

I never actually dated until I was 20, so I'll answer from my view point pre20. I had ridiculously high standards on men. That's the honest truth. It was ridiculous what I expected them to be. It wasn't a demanding POV I had. It was an inexperienced unrealistic POV. I'm not saying either that men aren't great. What I'm saying is that all I had to base reality on was hollywood and what my pastor/parents had told me. Good intentions, but not healthy. I was determined that I was not going to get into a relationship unless I could see myself marrying them. At 15-19 though, what complete healthy marriage ideals could I have possibly had at those ages? None, IMO. Basically, I did not date because I was trying to make plans on ideals that I didn't even understand. Perfection is nonexistent, and honestly......at this phase in life, I want someone who has messed up like me. I want someone who can relate. It's not about finding the "perfect" person. It's about finding the one you work perfectly with, and vice versa.

I've never had an official relationship either. Sometimes I think I really want one, just to have someone to hold close.. other times I think I'm pretty damn lucky not having anyone around to tie me down haha.

Everyone that's had relationships, where they with other christians or what?

Two christians, one athiest. I, a believer, married the athiest.

The sad part is her saying she would still date me if I ever "changed my mind". As well as a few other close female friends liking me. I swear, it would be a dream come true for a lot of guys.

Yeah, it indeed should be a red flag if someone has been in a fair lot of [bad/failed] relationships if they are only in their 20s or 30s.

And only being in the one relationship, however fictionary it seems to have been now that I look back, at 20 is totally not a bad thing. haha

None, have had a fair amount of opportunities though. Been asked out by great girls on several occasions, but despite them being great, I either didn't think it would work because I didn't really feel attracted to them, or I choked, or they weren't Christians(this mostly been the case during the last year, which was one of the hardest things to do, because I actually got a lot of feelings for this girl) but you know I'm not too worried, all will be fine.
