There is another cat that has been hanging around that I feed and provide shelter for, yet I do not consider him "mine," as odd as that sounds!

Shayla.. our calico.. She is our diva.. she lays around and primps all day.. has to have her treats brought to her.. we are her servants.. She is also our depressed kitty.. woe is she.. she was abandoned twice before we adopted her.. when we go away for a day or two, she tells the others.. they're gone.. they're never coming back.. lol.. she will pout when we get home & not come see us right away...

Dickens.. he is an orange tiger stripe who thinks he REALLY is a ti-gor... *grin* He is the one who runs around all day.. like something is chasing him.. he hides behind things and waits to pounce on the others as they go by.. He is also a fetcher.. he loves to have us throw the ball and he runs to get it.. brings it back for us to throw again.. He was so bad as a kitten that we thought of naming him demon seed or damien.. but decided on Dickens.. cause he is just ornery not evil.. *Smile*

Then there is Simba.. He is a blonde pomeranian.. and such a yappy little thing.. he barks all the time.. every time that a he hears a vehicle or a person outside.. He was MikeJ's dog before I got here.. and after 8 years I am still the interloper.. He tolerates me.. but MikeJ is his master.. Simba really thinks he is one of the cats.. He will not fetch like most dogs do.. you throw the ball & he just sits there and stares.. *lol*

We'd probably have dozens of animals if we had our own property, but we rent and 3 is the max we can have.. but we do live in the middle of the woods.. so we have deer in the yard all the time.. and coyotes.. and turtles.. and possum.. and rabbits.. groundhogs.. ohhh,, and tons of gray and red squirrels..

I have the funniest ferrets named Beethoven and Cher. I bought the pair over a week ago. They love life! I've enjoyed them and took them to a nearby school where my nephew attends. I now have joined the Ferret club as his teacher has 3 and raises them. I have to say...these 2 are entertainment. Happy to be a ferret owner!

Two of my cats used to be feral, and one is the hand-reared spawn of a pair of feral cats we trapped.
