How many languages do you speak?

How many languages do you speak or wished that you spoke? I had french in high school but no good at it. I know a police officer that speaks six languages fluently.
English, Spanish, French, Russian, German, and Italian.

Well, I'm billingual in English and Indonesian. I know basic knowledge of Spanish and Chinese Mandarin...someday I will learn more of these two and polish them.

French is a great language. It's the second language for like half the world population. It's even better if you go to France and live there for a few months.

If you decide to study French seriously, beware that the grammar is not simple : all the nouns have a gender (masculine or feminine), and the verbs have nearly infinite endings.

Duh -- but if you already speak Cantonese and Chinese you probably already know about that.

I only speak English. I have no plans at the moment to learn any other language. Languages aren't really my thing. If I had to choose another language to learn though, I'd probably pick Latin.

I usually say 3 English, Sign Language, and "southern" the "southern" one you have to probably live in the US to understand that one.

only one fluently. I was learning several so I do know a bit of Fench, German, and Spanish, but I got lazy so I've pretty much dropped them. I'm thinking about taking them up again when and if I ever get to college. I am also planning on learning Hebrew and Biblical Greek, and sign language would be cool to learn as well

I studied Latin in college and I promise you that was the HARDEST language I ever learned. But it has come in handy though.

I'm pseudo-fluent in speaking English. I'm a pretty decent at the written communication aspect though. Other than that, I know about 10 Spanish words from high school.

I would very much like to learn to read and write New Testament Greek and Old Testament Hebrew. That would rock. I may end up learning to speak Spanish someday as well... might be moving to a community with a bit more diversity than Altoona, WI. Ha.
