I'll be venturing into the unoccupied 26 on Wednesday to the "Contae Chill Dara", first time in years I'll be amongst the great unwashed

Whass that about?
Surely Ireland is British (Geography)
but only partly UK (Politics)
Wouldn't; ROI & UK (for instance) be more accurate?
Rossi said:Well to be completely correct it would have to be ROI, and the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland!
Actually, I'm from Yorkshire, and have always said "me" as in .. "this is me mam, me dad, me brother and me sister." Of course, since I was college educated and have lived in the US quite a long time, I don't say that any longer .. except for when I call my family in the UK and fall back into dialect and say things like "I nearly wet meself" and "you should have seen me face".Rossi said:I like the way you said "me" instead of my!
You truly are Irish!
Actually, I take issue with the naming for other reasons. Shouldn't that be Britain and Ireland OR British and Irish. The people are British, not the country.Goatboy said:But, what are peoples feelings about this forums title;
