  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How many friends do you need? Well not need in the sense that you make sure you have a certain number or anything like that. I was just thinking....I have just a handful of friends. Sometimes I think I need to broaden my horizons and expand my number of friends (just make more, not that Im tracking numbers just sometimes have trouble expressing my thoughts lol). And then other times I get overwhelmed with just the ones I have lol. Like for example next weekend. My brother in law, )since my husband is passed he is a great "friend" aside from being family) is coming for a visit. my girlfriend from Kansas is also coming, AND my uncle who travels around to softball tournaments will be in town AND another friend that moved away to washington is coming too. Last month I felt kinda lonely and NOW look what happens! They're all coming at once LOL. Kidding aside, it just made me think about my friends....and that question popped in my head, and here we are...SO...do you have alot of friends?, do you feel like you need to have lots or not so many friends? Would you like more friends or do you already have too many? Random thoughts.

Life can be funny. Going from being a little lonely to having too many freinds on your door step! LOl

I'd like to have more freinds. I have a few now. I'd go find some more if my GF didn't want me not being where an other woman might start to put the moves on me! LOL

What's a guy to do?

Well, for me it's more about having good friends. The type of friends that stick to you in good times and in bad times.

Right now I don't have any and I feel lonely as my family is in France and I'm all alone in the big Ol' USA. On top of it I'm a single mom so until all my kids leave the nest, my opportunity to join some community groups is very limited.

Well, I know I'll find myself completely alone soon enough, so I'm enjoying the company of my kids right now! :D

I have three friends who all live in a different state. One I haven't talked to in over three years and two (a husband and wife/both ministers) visited me last Friday. (It had been a year since we last talked and ten years since we saw each other.)

Some people like a few friends that they can have deep conversations with, and other people are more energized by a wide circle of friends. I like to have a few good friends, and I do... but they're out of state or online. I realized recently that they're all non-Christians, and I'm feeling the need for fellow Christians to talk to.

I have some really great friends that I've known since high school that I don't talk to very often, but when we do, it's like we have never stopped talking, we just pick up where we left off. Then I have my close local friends that I count on for support and prayers and vise versa. And I have other friends that I talk to more regularly that are out of state, but they are actually my closer friends that I really could tell anything to. I think everyone needs those types of friends. One of my local friends and I hung out the other evening, and she was so relieved to have someone to talk to, vent to, about issues with her husband recently. Nothing bad really, just that he's not helping her as much as she would like, yet he wants her to be romantic with him and....point being she doesn't really have anyone to voice those issues to because her daughter is really close to her dad and her other best friend has a different sort of strained relationship with her husband so....sometimes you just need to talk to someone that will understand, not just someone that can listen. And all of us don't have that kind of someone, I guess.

Hi Kes! Welcome aboard. You came to the right place to find Christian friends. I'm here if you need to talk to someone. :D
