Good questions.
Creationism isn't science and doesn't belong in science class: it belongs in history class.

I teach it in World Literature with the rest of the mythology.

Sure, scientific theory is never wrong. We are just stupid and dont understand that theory actually means fact. Fact that is never, ever wrong.

You rely on scientific theories to work as predicted every day of your life and in more ways than you could imagine.

The theory of evolution has nothing to do with biology, either. As pointed out, biology is the study of living things. Evolution is a theory or origins that cannot be replicated or observed; it can only be believed or not believed. Since evolution is disproved by a higher authority, Christians who adhere to the teaching of Scripture reject evolution.

You actually have this completely backwards. Evolution is all about explaining the changes we observe happening in populations. Common descent is an obvious conclusion when you understand the patterns that evolution creates. Common descent isn't somehow the goal of the theory.

Complex rationalizations that evade facts so consistently are not "just" stupid. Those who are "just" stupid are innocent.

Most of the ones i talk to think its an absurd theory. My sister is a pagan and even she thinks its absurd.

Most of the ones who say such things completely misunderstand the theory at fundamental, basic levels. This shows when they post around here.

How is this theory bad? More specifically, to be "bad" a theory would offer a model of the way the world works that does not have evidential support. So, please tell us: Are you saying that the theory of evolution is not supported by the facts? Presumably you would not say this without actually knowing what evolution predicts and also having a specific argument as to how the evidence does not support the theory.

Why get specific when NOTHING in the theory or in any
supporting theory works in real life?

Big bang, something from nothing. Can't happen

star formation - gases overcoming inertia with gravity
alone? Can't happen.

Heavy metals - can't happen

planet formation - think of billiards in space. collisions
only cause rocks to separate, not join together.

protein folding - right hand vs left hand.

life from non-life
information
consciousness
love

Evolution is a feeble attempt to replace God.

That or, they simply build defense mechanisms, to deny a theory, that goes against their personal faith beliefs.

The theory is consistent and accurately describes the history and results of life and the theory works when we used it ourselves to help us design things.

Big bang, something from nothing. Can't happen

Biological evolution doesn't posit how the big bang came along. In fact, nobody thinks the big bang came from nothing, not even atheists. They will admit, however, they don't know where it came from.

star formation - gases overcoming inertia with gravity
alone? Can't happen.

Now that's just a naked, unsupported assertion.

Heavy metals - can't happen

Created in Supernova all the time.

planet formation - think of billiards in space. collisions
only cause rocks to separate, not join together.

Another naked, unsupported assumption. Collisions cause irregular orbits to be changed, regularities to form (as per Saturn's Rings). Regularities reduce the collision speeds, allow for coalescing of material.

protein folding - right hand vs left hand.

Once life settled on a catalyst enhanced protein formation path, the handedness that got started was preserved. Of course, all life having the right hand form is evidence of common descent.

life from non-life

A consequence of natural structure development in an energy flow environment

information

A built in feature of the universe, information increases naturally as quantum mechanical alternatives are taken

consciousness
A special kind of information processing

A special kind of consciousness

Evolution is a feeble attempt to replace God.
Evolution is a wonderful discovery of how God created us

The stereotyping i am reading in the most recent posts by Atheists is a little hard to swallow, but that's ok. I value some science, but remain skeptical that man actually evolved from prehistoric apes, or is evolving now. You dont need to cram that theory down my throat, because im not the one funding scientific research, so my opinion hardly matters anyway. Im just glad to be happy. :)

Uh . . . aren't we discussing this in the "creation and evolution" forum area? You come here, you get that topic!
