Are you trying to claim that the fossil record is not evidence for an old Earth? If you try to claim that your God made the Earth that way then you are essentially claiming that your God lied. That seems like blasphemy to me. When I was a Christian I could not believe in a lying God and that is why I accepted reality.

The only protections are against flaming and goading,harrassment, or someone telling you that you are not a Christian.

It is this type of denial that creationists have to engage in. The second they have to deal with the facts, they lose. What do you think this does to the image of Christianity when people are told that they have to accept creationism in order to be a Christian? What do you think people will do when they are given the choice between denial and reason?
