During the semester, one finds me reading a lot of textbooks at once, naturally. Left to my own devices I'm generally reading three books- one fiction, for when I'm going to bed at night, one nonfiction for the daytime, and either the Bible or some other holy text for devotions. I've been known to do more than this, if something catches my interest while I'm already reading a few. I can handle mutliple non-fiction books pretty well, but if I try to read more than one fictional work at a time I get the plotlines confused.

I used to read multiple books at once... but I find my attention span has decreased in my old age and my reading time has increased... I now only sit down with my book for maybe half an hour or an hour per day, so it's best if I stick with one at a time.

Although I might have something very light and silly, like a humor book, to mix in with whatever else I'm reading if I'm not in the mood to think overmuch...

If I'm reading more then one fiction book at a time, the plots have to be completely different and it helps if the genres are different so its not too easy to get confused.
Now I'm reading one christian novel, one fantasy adventure, one classic and a nonfiction book so they're all different.

Yeah, I know. I didn't think my mind would go so fast, either. But it has.

Sometimes I miss it. If you see my intellectual faculties, will you tell them I said "Come home-- all is forgiven?"

I am always reading the Bible...mainly the Bible, lol. But I have two other books that I have been reading for the last couple of years...yup, *L* I'll take them with me to appointments and things and try to pick up where I left off...one I started over again the last time, lol. But I'm going to make another list of things that I want to do, and finish reading those books is going on it! ;) Then I'll have to finish, just so that I can cross them off the list!
