Question. If one says he worships X but reinvents X to be the opposite in most ways from what X actually is, can we honestly say he's worshipping X?

If I say, for example, that I worship JFK (there is a church that does) because of his wonderful emancipation of the slaves and because he wrote the US Constitution, am I worshipping JFK or not??

But for the sake of argument...

What did King Henry VIII do when he decided he would use his power to institute the Act of Supremacy? Some would say he changed what God created and made something else. That would put into question whether or not you worship Jesus.

Do you see my point?

OK, I get your point. I don't agree with it, but I see what you're saying. IMO, there is no reason to presume that thinking of god as unitary has to have come from God himself.

does the devil give people lies? doesn't all truth come from God? the fact that there is one God is the truth...(even if the Muslims got everything else wrong, they still have that)

He didn't stop there...that's why we have Christianity, lol...Muslims just haven't accepted the whole truth yet...they only accepted that bit of it about there being one God.

yup, but just to clarify (not for you but for others), only Christians actually have the correct knowledge of Him
the others worship without knowledge, and since they don't know the Son, they don't know the Father either.

It is completely irrelevant to the topic and here is why, the holy scripture explains as I mentioned in Romans that the Jews will be prevented from accepting, and scripture also says so if you know not me (Jesus) you know not my father...

So based on these things i'd say what the Jews believe NOW is a different GOD,at least until the veil is lifted...But that is only my opinion...Those whom are given the revelation of Christ and deny will become blind to Him if you know not Him you know not His father.

The point of this thread though is JP2 said it was one in the same and scripture says different, no matter what camp you put the Jews into.

They know God as Yehwah and they know God as the Holy Spirit. They do not know God as Jesus. So it seems to me that it is the same God but that they do not know him as well as Christians do.

What are your thoughts?

That is where I insert Romans 11:25...Furthermore Jews and Muslims are NOT the same, so we certainly should not treat them as such.
But for example when Joshua first came across the soldier of the Lord (HS within this man) and he was told to drop to his knees as he was on sacred ground. He did it knowing full well, yet when Christ came many did not accept and scripture seems pretty clear that if you don't accept Him when He reveals Himself to you you'll then become unable, if I recall correctly in Hebrews 4 or 5.
