How long will it take us to drink a pool full of water?

OK, I'm taking a wild guess that fitmom guzzled only about 17 ounces?
fitmom, you better drink more water or change your name! ;)

So, I'm adding the 342.4 + 17 + 96 for me = 455.4 ounces.
Fitmom is still bad, about 1L today. I don't really know, I do have a water bottle with me all the time, and I sip or drink all day. Tomorrow a.m. I will drink a lot cause I have aquafit in the a.m. and it is sooooooooooooooooooo hot in the pool area. Next I have a cardio/combo class, so water there. This is a great thread. I always challenge my clients to drink at least 500 ml during their workouts. So I don't know, Fitmom probably had 1.5L today. Carry on being thirsty heros, God Bless,J

Previous total - 639.5Fitmom's 1.5 liter - 50.72 ounces
PeterC's - 48 ounces
Ariel's - 8 ounces
Fitmom's 2 liters - 67.63 ounces
paging_jonah - 128 ounces
Now adding mine - 80 ounces

Total - 1021.35

Now we're caught up, so, please, everybody add your ounces and post the new total. Otherwise, we will lose participants because nobody will want to go back and add others' ounces.

Thanks for joining in! We're motivating each other!

Real Texans don't do liters,

I agree! Real Texans don't drink water either. They just float out to sea on a river of ice tea.

Okay, okay, I'm trying! Put me down for 16 ounces so far today.

1021.35 + 16 = 1037.35

(Thanks BarbaraJean!)

A rep. point for aqnyone who posts why it is good to drink water - Example:
Metabolizes certain vitamins.

Okay, Fitmom!

Water is needed by every system in the body in order for those systems to function at optimal level.

For the athlete, it is crucial to drink enough water in order to reduce lactic acid and begin the build/recovery process.

Water is used to digest food. Without adequate water, digestion slows down. The kidneys need adequate water to flush poisons out of the blood. The brain needs water so that synaptic processes can be carried out normally. The skin needs water for the repair process.

Without adequate water the body tends to hold the fluids it has--with adverse consequences. This means it cannot cleanse itself of toxins as efficiently and carry on normal processes. Brain synaptic processes are messed up. Even the heart's normal electrical rhythms are disturbed.

The body runs on many chemical processes. If the fluid that expedites those processes is low, then all of those functions are affected--even with fatal results.
