I thought it would be interesting to find how long everyone has been a creationist and also what caused them to become one? Here is my story.
I grew up in a home where my mom was Christian and my dad was not. I went to a Christian school which even had books talking about billions of years and I never did understand why my mom got upset at that. I never was saved though during this time. I went to a public high school and was taught evolution and just took it as fact since that's how it was taught to us. I got out of high school and did some very stupid things which I won't go into detail about right now. Finally at age 23 I became saved. It wasn't for atleast a year though before I stumbled on a Creation vs Evolution debate, if memory serves me correct on this very web site. I noticed that in the debate that creationists made some excellent arguements, ones I never heard in high school when I was taught evolution as fact. I did more research and found that out that Bible and science actually did point to creation and a young earth and finally decided to become a creationist. Since then I have watched and listened to many debates and debated my self via e-mail and on message boards several places and have had my stength both in God and his act of creation increased. If your wondering that meant I been a creationists for probably a little over 2 years.
