How long did u wait to take tests?

When you were trying to get preggy or thought you may be preggy did you take tests right away, wait a few days, or what?

And did you ever have negative results then have a positive a few days later?

I thought I may be pregnant, so I took one. I think I was about 11DPO and it came up positive. I've heard that some women don't get positives until a couple weeks after their missed periods.

I had a friend who tested negative then 3 days later it was positive. Freaked her out needless to say.

And I know when I first became pregnant I tested positive right away. Which ended in a tubal preg.

10 days after ovulation I'd test.... but yeah you can get a negative that early then a positive later....

I tested when I thought I might be, morning sickness sets in quite early for me. With my second pregnancy I tested negative until I was 6 weeks pregnant, the other two pregnancies I tested positive right away.

The 1st month, I tested right away. The 2nd month, I didn't test at all. The 3rd month, I was so positive I wasn't pregnant that I waited until 34 days after my last period

I tested as soon as i started to have morning sickness (which would have been about 2 1/2 weeks after my last period... it came back negative.
I retested a week later and it was positive. I knew i was pregnant the day I tested... i had a huge aversion to something one of the guys at work was eating!!!

I started testing at 12 dpo i got a faint pos. I kept testing for 5 days just needed to reassure myself.

I tested at about 11 DPO, cos I was charting and I knew from that that I had conceived, I got a positive. I tested again the next day and got a faint positive which scared me a bit, so I tested again and it was positive!

How did you know you had conceived by charting? Based on everything I've read you can't really know you've conceived by your chart unless you go like 20 some dpo and haven't started your period (unless this is what you mean?)

who said that? I can't see it. TCOYF says if you go to 18 days of high temps then you're pregnant.....

18 days... I can't wait another 10 days

I said it, Every month around 10DPO my temperature would just drop, and stay low, then I'd get my AF. The month I concieved my son the temp went Higher at 10DPO and stayed high, this was unusual so I got a bit excited, then I got a positive pg test. I don't know if that's normal for others though, I was also on Clomid at the time...

My chart was very obvious when I became pregnant. Before that it would just level out and slowly start dropping by dpo 9 or 10 and bottom out dpo 14. When I became pregnant it went up then leveled for a day then went up more then leveled out so on and so forth.

1st baby I tested when AF was 1 day late.

Then I had a m/c at 5 weeks with the next pg

So for the next 2 I tested when AF was at least 1 week late, #4 I could only wait 4 days

I have always been very in tune with my body, and knew the week before my period was due that either A.) I was having the worst PMS of my life, or B.) I was pregnant. Having never been pregnant before, and we were NOT trying, I figured I was just having bad PMS. Oops! I obviously wasn't.
I tested a few days before my missed period. Not sure exactly how many DPO that was--maybe 11 or 12? It was positive the first one I tried.

I have such an irregular cycle and initially had no pregnancy symptoms at all. I was convinced it was another ovarian cyst and the only reason I bothered to do the test was because we had a free coupon which I needed to use before we left Canada. I only tested on about day 55 after my last period. Needless to say, it showed a really dark positive straight away.
