  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No matter How long you wait, you should Always wait until you have stopped bleeding. That is a sign that the cervix has closed back up to a more normal position and it's "safe" to have sex again. If you have sex when you're still bleeding you are Much more open to infection. Which is something you Really should avoid...

For some women it's 2 weeks, for some it's 8 weeks. It depends on the specifics of the birth, the mom's health, and how many children the mom has had... as well as how tired she is. ;) lol

we started up after the 6 week appoinment as well... I had an episiotomy. had to wait for that to heal...
had to wait about that long after I had the d&C done, but did not want to... I was really insecure, and really wanted to spend time with my husband...

after my d&c we started back up after 2 weeks, and got preggers 2 months later. Talk about paraniod. I sometimes wish we had waited 6 weeks, but then my daughter wouldn't be here.

With David's birth it was more than 12 weeks and it hurt bad, it was after a 4th degree tear and I bled for a long time. We then had a baby that cried a lot in the evenings (maybe colic) for the first 12 weeks so we spent the evenings trying to relieve his tummy. Then we crashed into bed and neither of us were in the mood anyway. Neither of us are good without sleep. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just as long this time also and we're both prepared for that and talked about it *shrug*

I had a c-section and was up all night every night for the first six weeks. I think it was about 2 months for us. We still don't have a lot of time for it now though we are trying to remedy that by putting Meaghan to bed by 8.
