  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think the ultimate sense of loneliness is only known by God.

He has nobody to relate to. No peers, because there are none who are equal to Him. Nobody has any insight into His problems. He has no shoulder to cry on. When He accomplished creation, there was nobody there to pat Him on the back and say, "Hey, good job buddy." And even if there had been? How gratifying would it be to get a thumbs up from somebody for doing something when you know they didn't have the first clue what it took or how you did it?

I think the loneliest aspect of being God is in knowing that You are the embodiment of everything that is responsible for Your creation's puny little existence; the love they experience, the blessings they receive, the air they breathe...and most of them will never even see it.

I feel this way sometimes and I know a few other people who do too. sad....

How lonely?

So lonely they turn to alcohol or drugs to forget about it

so lonely they turn away from God because they feel like even He has left them

so lonely they seek out immoral relationships in an attempt to fill the void

all of the other answers here are valid too

I can understand that. If you get lonely enough, it does feel like even God isn't in your corner.
