How lonely can a person get? I now that sounds really general. I just want to see what I can get for a response.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So lonely that being around people makes them lonelier. Because they have it in the heads that they are unable to be loved, and so the more people there are...the more they are reminded of it. And the bigger gap there is.

Not yet but once I buy a new car within the next month I plan on doing just that. The distance will be more like 900 miles however.....

I feel this way sometimes and I know a few other people who do too. sad....
How lonely?
So lonely they turn to alcohol or drugs to forget about it
so lonely they turn away from God because they feel like even He has left them
so lonely they seek out immoral relationships in an attempt to fill the void
all of the other answers here are valid too
