  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm afraid I'm gaining too fast. I went to the Dr. several weeks ago and she says I'm fine, but I've still got 3+ months to go and I think I've gained a little over 20 lbs.! I think she said the ideal gain was 25 - 30 lbs. so I'm well on my way and will probably surpass that. I haven't really been keeping up with it and I surely haven't been watching what I eat. :o I didn't with my first though so ... Of course I'm older this time. :sigh:

Eat healthy and keep active then don't worry about the numbers. I gained 42lbs with my daughter and lost 27lbs just in the delivery so 25lbs would have been too little for me to gain. If you're doing everything right then don't sweat on the numbers.

If you are of normal weight for your height, 25-35, more if you are underweight, less if you are overweight.

I'm underweight, so far I'm 10 weeks pregnant and I've gain 10-15lbs(I didn't normally care about my weight).

Eat healthy, as in watch what you eat, skip empty calories when you can and drink lots of water. Not every woman will fit into the mold as each woman and each pregnancy is different.

Well, according to my height I am "underweight". I'd hate to see myself if I weighed what my ideal weight is. I reckon what's bothered me is that my belly has gotten way bigger in the last few months AND it seems like I've gained more that I was hoping for.

It's been so long since I was pregnant that I've just forgotten how it went with DD. I really think I gained around 40 lbs. with her but I'm not sure. It came off pretty fast so I know I shouldn't worry, but I'm OLDER now (and I know that I'm older because my MIL keeps telling me that fact. GRRRRRR!!!!) and the weight probably won't come off like it did with her.

If you are underweight, 35-45 lbs isn't uncommon.

Think about it, you double the amount of blood you have, fluid, placenta, baby etc, your uterus doubles almost weekly until month 7 I think...all of those weigh something.

You are supporting another human being, give yourself a break.

I'm in my 11th week and I'm down 10 lbs now.

Hopeing not that most of the neasuea is subsideing and some of my appitite is coming back that I'll be able to gain a lil of that back. I woulden't mind if I once I get the 10 back if I didn't gain any more at all, but I'm overweight. If I gain 15-25 that's fine too, I just really don't want to go over that because I don't need to for one, and I know it'd be hard to get off for two.
