  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

how is the book of life written?

im writing a book on abortion and how it affects Gods plans for the world, the Bible says that God plans out your life, what youre gonna do, before he even creates you and my main character gets pages from the book of life and i was wondering how to write those, i was thinking a time line or journal entries written by the guardian angel of the person from the time of conception to the day the person dies, but neither seem to have that....feel of book of lifeness (i am so tired right now lol) so im wondering what you peeps suggest. so....suggest away!

Let me quote the Scriptures to you.

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them. (Psalm 139:16 NASB)

Not only has God ordained all things, but He has written them in His book.
There are three books that God has written:
  1. The Book of the living
  2. The Book in which all things are ordained
  3. The Lambs book of life

About the book of the living, God says this:
The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book." (Exodus 32:33 NASB)

About the book of things ordained He said what I quoted to you above.

About the Lambs Book of Life He said this:
He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. (Revelation 3:5 NASB)

So which of these are you talking about?
If God ordains all things, including the baby's death, did the baby have a life planned?

Well I believe that life begins at conception and so if a baby is aborted, it;s life is ended. Perhaps God's purpose for that baby's life was to change someone else's life, the mother of father's perhaps. However, I digress. I see cannot find proof that God has written three books. I think the only book is the Lamb's book of Life which simply records the names of those who are saved.

I'm not sure exactly what it is you are looking for but if you are trying to figure out how the book is written and laid out, my best guess would be just a list of names or some sort of register. I would probably write it as a register that included birth, death, and date of salvation just because I think it would add more depth to the story than a simple list of names would.
