I wish BXVI all the best. My heart is with him.

I really didn't like him before he was Pope. "God's Rottweiler" and all that. When they were voting for pope, I prayed, "God, anyone but Cardinal Ratzinger!" LOL I admit I wanted Cardinal Lustiger.

But once he became Pope he changed. He was much softer and more pastoral. The office effected him. And I grew to love him so very much.

I miss his clarity.
