  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My family didn't go to church. It really was just that simple. We prayed before dinner. The same prayer, every night. "Dear God...thanks for the food we are about to receive...Amen." Every night.
I wasn't really like my friends in high school. I didn't drink. I didn't have sex. The majority of my Friday and Saturday nights were spent at home. Bah.
I joined this club at school, FCCLA. I met a girl name Kelly and we became quick friends. (I met her cuz I bought Skittles and Combos, Relient K loves them!) Anyways...she invited me to stay at her house one Saturday. We went to church the next day.
Everyone there was really nice. I felt right at home. The youth pastor asked me if I was going ot go on a retriet with the church. I said no, I didn't have the money. Jeff paid for me to go.
At the retriet, Joel Ingel spoke about how God is the Father he never had. I felt so touched...It all made sense. I was saved the day after I turned 18. April 1, 2005. :amen:
