At less than one year of marriage I was posting about the internet porn problem. And the alcohol - although I said at that time that he didn't often drink heavily. That certainly changed.
Ya know, when I read Laurie Hall's book, "An Affair of the Mind," about 8 months ago, I was appalled at how far her husband sunk into his sin. I certainly didn't ever consider that my husband would be sinking so low himself, but he sure has. He even had a profile on an adult friends site seeking women to hook up with. Listed himself as single, of course. And that he likes to have friends he can get physical with. (anyone have a barfing smiley?
)
I had a visit this evening from his new boss (he apparently got a job a couple of weeks ago). He hasn't shown up to work in 2 days, and the poor man thought this was where my husband lives. He had told the man a whole pack of lies about what a wonderful Christian husband he is, and how badly he needed the job to provide for his family, etc.
I'm afraid the poor man caught me at the wrong time, and not only did I tell him that hubby has not lived here for nearly 4 months, I also gave him the shortened version of the whole shebang - alcoholic, one-night stands last year and this year, liar, drunk driver, drinking at work, refusing to work, refusing to pay bills, blah, blah, blah.
Needless to say the guy was shocked, and I'm rather mortified myself at my outpouring. About the only thing I didn't cover was the herpes that he mysteriously contracted after we were together. I think we can all pretty safely assume that came from his outside hookups rather than sharing tools with a coworker (as he at 1st tried to claim
) or from sometime in his distant past before he met "the love of his life" to whom, I now know from his own mouth, he was not faithful.
On a lighter note, I found the perfect smiley for my life at present:
