First put on the fake smile that says this is supposed to be fun and hope my head doesn't pound when its over ... try to supress the thoughts about the effects of 3 or 4 G's on my poor brain ... and if all else fails, pretend I'm in a F16 fighter jet that would twirl me around as much or more ..

Exort, encourage and console : that is what we are called to do I do believe.

I used to use the Bible like an offensive sword to cut people down and show them the errors of their ways and their beliefs. Now I let the Holy Spirit do the conviction work and ask God silently what we have me do ...

How do I feel? sad that they are missing out on the full spectrum of the festivities of the kingdom ... I wonder how many of those I am missing out on ... hmmm


When people whine about silly things in their lives ...

Well...God cares about each and every one of our details, as "silly" as they may appear. Even though others may be enduring greater trials, it does not make seemingly trivial complications any less valid. Therefore, even though I may get annoyed with their whining, I also try to be interested, just as God would be.

When someone is putting himself/herself down...

I feel a complex mix of feelings on that one ... upset that the person would do that to themselves, glad that they are able to see their shortcomings but hope it is not to excess ... anxious because I realize I do this myself sometimes ... argumentative because I want to talk them out of it ... disgusted when it is so often and so much that it is just a form of selfish preoccupation ...

When you have been chatting in these forums for way too long than is reasonable?

Honestly? The response to that is too elaborate and perhaps private to disclose in a forum.

Well I have only been chatting in this one since yesterday and already have 90 posts ... many of them chatting with you. But I am enjoying it very much. I used to chat on IRC when the internet was just beginning and would spend hours and hours there in a forum for single parents.

It has been years since I chatted in any forum beyond a post or two in the flight simulator forums.

How do you feel when people argue or debate about what is spiritual or not spiritual?

I have enjoyed chatting with you very much as well.

Regarding debates, I find them wearisome. It is an arduous task for me to read through an entire debate in this forum, whether spiritual and non spiritual. If brothers and sisters in Christ wish to debate over non essential doctrine, that is fine--as long as they do not divide over it.

Non-spiritual debates not only become tiring, yet they are ultimately pointless.

Yes, one person in my entire life. That hatred is no longer there since I recommitted my life to the Lord.

yes I call it having the elephant on my chest ...

Well I have put a fair number of patients on ventilators in my career hehe ...

But I know what you mean. I think that there have a few women smitten with me to the point of having their breath taken away ... but it is not a routine experience in my life.

LoL. No, but I have had that happen to me. Of course, I'm the type who will scream if you so much as make a tickling motion toward me, even if you are 20 feet away. Therefore, I can't take but 2 seconds of tickling before I am begging for mercy.

Have you ever become exceedingly annoyed with the slew of films that portray Jesus as having had blue eyes and sandy blonde hair?

Things like that do not particularly annoy me .. I just get involved in the story of a movie and rarely notice those kinds of things ....

Yes, although not anymore.

I can think of several times I have compromised my values to fit in ... most of those as a teenager however. I was not pleased with myself ....

How does that make you feel when you can't figure something out because your heart says one thing and your head says another?
