How do youy see him?

When its your time to pray, How do you visualize God?

The reason why I'm asking is because I have a tough time focusing when I pray.

When you are having your quiet time, How do you see God?

I don't think you have to visualize God. What thought, picture, or words can capture all that God is other than what He has revealed. He is all around you, in you, and you live and breathe in Him. The only thing we have that may be of the visual is Jesus - God in the flesh, but know one knows exactly what He looked like.
Think of how awesome He is and being so great that not even one person can contain Him, as He is so much more than a man. Focus on HIs glory some and think of what power could create so much beauty and diversity, how He could love us so much to suffer our death and pain for us.

Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

2 Timothy 1:14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

if you dont already, learn to worship.
if you become a worshiper, you can learn always enter into his presence, becuase the gates of worship are the only way.

and the point is, you cant fix yourself and your problems, your flesh is weak, you cant mend it, you have to throw it away. and get into God as much as you can. through things like worship.
God will fix your problems, God will give you understanding, God will show himself to you, his light will expell your darkness and the distractions of your unseen enemy, if you can ever get into his thrown room, through worship.

sometimes your quiet time shouldnt be quiet.
the bible says God dwells in our praise.
when you begin to worship, you enter his thrownroom and gain access too great power, and the fire and flood of Gods power can push anything else out of the way, including thoughts. the passion that can fill you, can absolutely consume distraction.
but it comes through being a worshiper. it comes through knowing how pass through the gates of worship.

Well i dont really " picture" or visualize God i just picture myself at His feet worshipping and praying to Him .

it depends how he makes himelf known to me and what I need at the time.

Sometimes as a loving father, wrapping a blanket around me in his huge arms and giving me a hot cocoa

sometimes as a friend walking beside me beside green pastures and still waters (psalm 23)

Sometimes as my shepard, when I feel like a lost, confused, scared little sheep. His rod and staff comfort me

a lot of the time I see him as the majestic king upon the throne, worthy of all my adoration and worship and deserving every morsel of glory. Read daniel to get a better idea of that.
