Cremation only makes sense to pagans, Hindus, humanists, and full-blown preterists. They all deny that there will be a visible, real 2nd coming and a real, physical, and a visible ressuruction of the dead.
God can see if your body has been completely burned up or exploded. But, has not God commanded us to take care of our body and have it ready for our ressuruction?

I want the cheapest and the one that will not fill my body with chemicals. Preventing the worms and trees from eating my corpse is wrong. Bodies are worthless after the person dies. I hate people's fetishes that makes them spend thousands of dollars on a corpse. How hard is it to dig a hole and put the body in and fill it up!? But funerals are big business now, and human rituals and emotions are easy to prey on. People are so narcissistic that even in their death they're vane. Just my opinion. :/ No offense to anyone. You do you.

Science probably wouldn't want me - apparently they're not overly picky but the med school at the university where I work prefer their cadavers lightweight and not over tall (I'm 6'3" and heavy) because they're limited on freezer space.
I've carried a donor card with the "help yourself to any bits you want" option ticked, so after I've been picked over I'm not sure I really mind whether I have a quick session at gas mark lots or not before I return to the carbon and nitrogen cycles.

Just as long as I don't finish up like my dad has (jokingly, I hope) asked for - wrapped in newspaper and chucked in the Thames.

Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

The bottom of a mass grave would suit me just fine.

When our dog Joey died we had several choices regarding what to do with the remains. We took the least expensive which was having him be part of a mass cremation.

If I were given the choice I'd go with that for myself, cremated with the dogs and cats.

But the state will not allow that.

My second choice would be the Davis clan solution. Grind me up and use me to fertilize the roses. Unfortunately the state will not allow that either.

So I'll just settle for the cheapest. If someone wants to honor me in death spend the savings on decent beer for my college Rugby teams.
