All of our classes are based off of individual cases so I usually just have a separate word file for each case, which includes the brief and then make adjustments to the brief during discussion in class, and then I feel each case in the folder for the specific class e.g. torts, contracts ect...

In my astronomy class I take notes by hand into my notebook, just in case I have to draw out any examples or something. (It might be easier if I typed my notes instead but it's good how it is). For my humanities class I have two teachers a history deparment one and a philosophy deparment one, when the history teacher gives lectures I take notes with my computer, when the philosophy one lectures I take notes by hand....
My other classes I don't need to take notes in.
It all works for me fine. Last semester my laptop broke but I needed one to take good notes in my history class because it was so much information that I need to write down. So I bought a new laptop. It's not as necessary this semester as it was last semester, but I'm sure it will come in to more necessary use after I transfer next fall.

Just make sure whatever system you use works :)

Video/audio: I don't bother with these just because I know I won't listen to them again. Looking at the book, notes, or solving problems is a better use of time for me.

Computer: I just keep a to-do list and calendar on my PDA, no computer notes. Its sort of a waste of time and distraction for me.

Notes: I take notes on hole-punched white paper with pencil and paper and put them into binders with separators (folder pouched separators for class, tabbed separator for subsection of class like notes, graded, labs, etc). Then, everything is together when I need it and I don't waste any time.
