LOL, I watch this fairly frequently (rarely get to see the whole episode, I tend to walk into my lounge and someone will be watching it though) and I gotta agree, sometimes it is a bit graphic. It's the worst when I'm eating a steak or something and watching an episode where they focus on insects and stuff eating the corpse. YUCK!

I wasn't going to dissect the frog in bio, but my teacher showed me one and it just looked like plastic. I got a really good mark on it, over 100%, because I did extra work.

I like CSI a lot, you just have to remember it is a TV show!

I must be weird......I don't think it's gross at all. I mean one where this girl did some drug, and ended up eating some girl and got Eboli ( I think) from her, that was sorta scary/gross, but other then that, nope, nothing.

you want gross, my mom is addicted to "Trauma: Life in the ER". Real life footage of operations to remove stuff like butcher knives imbedded in the back of their head. That's worse than anything you'll see on network drama, and it's REAL.

I used to watch CSI every week, but not so much lately..Cus I just forget.

But it never grossed me out..I've been with my dad to his work, and I've seen nearly every body part or organ out of place at some point. Plus, the stuff on CSI is fake.

Yep.

This May we're dissecting pigs. Joy. The smell is always so bad.

YOur dissecting pigs in highschool?? wow..we only dissected a frog back when i was in highschool. I dont think i would have wanted to have to dissect a pig..eeek!

I love the original CSI series! I watch it most weeks. I love the shows where you are figuring stuff out like Without a Trace, Law and Order SVU and Law and order Criminal intent...they are my favorites!

I like watching C.S.I....the original. Grissom is just too funny. The cast has a really great chemistry. And I don't see that in the other C.S.I.s at all. Miami I tried to watch, but it was just too boring. And C.S.I.N.Y. I only watched because my husband is Gary Sinese. (well...not really, he just looks exactly like him. )

C.S.I. is great. The mystery, the discovery...the science. And the music...love the music. I agree, last weeks episode with the bugs and the decaying corps was graphic. I did find myself closing my eyes because it was too much. But it usually isn't as graphic.

I could never be a doctor, nurse or C.M.E. let alone work for a crime lab. Ther's a huge difference between watching this stuff on television and doing it in real life. I would gag. I don't know how the real C.S.I. people get desensitized to that sort of thing. But...somebody has to do it. It's a real job. And I think that's what fascinates us.

I disected pig fetus' in Junior High School, Frogs too. Didn't have to disect anything in High School. It's not something I would be willing to do now for myself, let alone do it to get you out of it. (reminds me of how when I'm washing my car half a dozen neighbors say "Mine next" as if that was somehow funny. ) But there really isn't any better way to learn anatomy. Ask any med student.

I like all three CSI shows. Don't think they are gross, watch Trauma too when I get a chance. In ministry you never know what you may see when people call you to pray with/for them. If the bodies were going to make me sick would rather do it at home and not in front of anyone else.

I love the show. How do I possibly watch it? Easy. I just turn on the TV and change it to the channel.
I agree with you that some of the victims are gross, but that is what happens to a human body when it starts to decompose.
I remember one show were a body was found in an oil drum. They tipped it over and this soup came pouring out along with the bones. Another episode a head was mailed to the CSI lab.
