Is it based solely on practice, faith and belief in Jesus Christ as the Lord our Saviour...?

What happens if you are not as passionate as other seem, but are doing exactly the same thing? Does this mean you are doing something wrong?

Are we as Christians supposed to be consumed by the Word and talk about the Word in every conversation to show that we are living Christ Like?

Is there a balance? How does one incoporate Christianity into daily life?

How do you know...

Q. if you are going the right direction in terms of being a Christian...?
Ans. We can know -
(1) From the Bible and especially through the New Testament Books.
(2) From elderly born-again Christians who have living the Christian life prior to us.
(3) From the Books written by Godly Men and Women of God.
(4) From God directly through supernatural means like dreams, visions, revelations etc.

Q. Is it based solely on practice, faith and belief in Jesus Christ as the Lord our Saviour...?
Ans. To a large extent yes. I may be wrong too coz i am a young christian and have a long way to go.

Q. What happens if you are not as passionate as other seem, but are doing exactly the same thing? Does this mean you are doing something wrong?
Ans. No. It does not mean that you are doing something wrong. But, imitating Godly Men does not make us a better Christian and sometimes doing something which the other person is doing may not be the right thing to do. God may lead each Christian in a different way in order to make the individual understand Him and His ways in a better way. So, although we may doing different things yet we may knowing God and may express that in different words.

Q. Are we as Christians supposed to be consumed by the Word and talk about the Word in every conversation to show that we are living Christ Like?
Ans. No. That does not show that we are living Christ like in any way. Mere show of excessive Bible knowledge does not mean anything. In fact, some Christians can talk a lot of their own words (using little or no Scriptural references) and yet speak as approved unto God. Some, however, are so consumed with the Word that they do use the verses frequently. Both kinds of Christians may be living Christ-like life.

Q. Is there a balance? How does one incoporate Christianity into daily life?
Yes, we need to seek for balance which usually comes over a period of time and only when we start incorporating Christianity into daily life and at the cost of some mistakes. A Man of God said, "Unless we dive into the swimming pool and start waving our hands and legs at the cost of some water going into our mouths and noses and learn how to swim, we are not going to learn swimming.". So, its the same way.

Q. What's the difference between a person living as a Christian and not discussing Christianity 'out of the blue' and someone living as a Christian and speaking about it with every breath...
Ans. In my opinion, if a person is living as a Christian, he/she is bound to speak about it when the person is in a conducive environment. Some can however speak about it with every breath as they are quite charged up. But, its difficult to say who is more Christlike. Both can be strong Christians too. It could also be simply the nature of their personalities. But, the Bible says that "The spirits of the Prophets are subject to the Prophets.". So, that means one can control his/her own spirit and be disciplined while talking/preaching. Its like talking/preaching within the time-limit given to us by God or the people listening to us. Nobody is perfect and we all learn through committing mistakes.

This is only my opinion. Hope this helps in anyway. I could be wrong too.

You check your heart and conduct against Scripture. Also, if you have good fellowship with trustworthy believers, they'll be able to tell you where you're growing.

Being a Christian is pretty much that simple, yes. Growing as a Christian and being sanctified different. You keep up with the three things you mentioned, and practice obeying the Scriptures, you pray, you read and think about the Scriptures, you go to church, etc. That will make you a bigger, stronger Christian.

Passion is not something that I've found I can get by myself, it just happens as I do what I ought to do. And we can be doing everything right and still be discouraged (that's why we need fellowship so much).

That's the first sign of someone who is faking the walk to look good to fellow Christians. It can be horribly fake and plastic, and I have a disdain for it. Mainly because I've known people that would put on their church face, and talk the church talk on Sunday but be real buttholes at home. And I've known other people who have lied about going to seminary to look good, it was all part of the same game of shooting out shallow answers and insincere praises at every opportunity. Often when it was completely irrelivant to what we were saying/doing.

You are supposed to be consumed by the Word, yes, but keep it real. Don't say stuff for the sake of saying it. As you read the Word and learn to apply it to your life, and stay in tune with the Holy Spirit, you will know more how and when to speak up.

There is lots of opportunity to practice obedience when it comes to honesty, integrity, building people up, using wise restraint to name a few. People will see that you don't cheat or lie or steal or mouth off and that will say a lot.

That's a good one. It really depends on what the Spirit wants from you at that particular time. Sometimes we do need to speak up and He will prompt us, make no mistake. Other times we can just be quiet and be ourselves, witnessing through our actions and conduct. We need to not be ashamed to declare the truth about Jesus, but we also have to be wise and listen to other people, love them, and think about what to say. Thinking about what to say should produce prayer which sooner or later will open a door. And when it's open, we need to go right in.

I dont know if I can answer your question so to speak, but as a Christian I want to go talk about the Good News of Jesus to everyone I possibly can in hopes that they will also be saved and follow Jesus and live as God would want them too.

When I start considerng anything I always pray on it to make sure that it is what God would want me to do.. No, I dont ask if I can go to the store or buy groceries. I always just try to follow what my heart is saying, because the Lord is guiding you in everything you do.
Let me give u a recent example in my life (and I am praising the Lord tonight for it) Tuesday we left for a trip about 5 hrs from my house, my husband wanted to leave later than we had planned and I said no lets stay on the plan we decided on and if we would of left at the time he wanted to leave, we could of possibly been in a 90-100 car crash that occured about an hour from our house.
I fully relied on our plans that we already had made, because I had already thanked the Lord for making this vacation possible and I know he was there when we made our plans.

If your doubting your salvation or that you are doing things wrong, just wipe those thoughts away. Keep praying and reading Gods word, he will take care of the rest.

I know a gentleman that never told me he was saved, till I told him I was saved and I have known him basically all my life. That doesnt make him unsaved, its just the way he wishes to live. He had told me before a few things, but i never put it together.

Answers via the wealth and knowledge god's given to someone who wants to be called chilibowl

1) That's a tough one! but one only you can answer it. you have to look at your needs and your needs will differ alittle from mine. but ultimately we all have a hole in our hearts an emptiness that cause all of us to search for meaning in and after life.. and to that end Jesus fills that need 100% all of the time no exceptions.. ever. but, as far as direction goes there those of us who suppress any need for purpose or a greater understanding, and for them Jesus is just another silly waist of time. So like I said you have to determine what direction to take.

2)If you mean christianity as "it" then your answer is yes simple right?
Yes in the fact that there is absolutely nothing you as a sin natured person can do to "earn" your way to heaven. no amount of good deeds. no amount of devotion or praying or anything!!! because if you sinned once ever, your not good enough... you have to be absolutely perfect, in every sense of the word. no evil deeds, not even, a one lustful thought.. ever, since the time you were born till your death.
It's like standing on the peer at NY harbor, and your goal is getting to london, no matter how good of a swimmer you are, or jumper you are, you'll never get to London with out help. the father knew of this need before the beginning of time, and set up jesus as our transport "I was going to say fairy, lol" to help us get were we are going. in and after life.
Why just jesus?

Because he said so! If Jesus is what he claimed to be, then by his word there can be no other way!

So what if he's not? then we are all lost right? if that were true there would be no God and all of this and any other religion would truly be a waist of time..

So how can we prove that he is and that there is a god... Just blind stupid faith? Surely I say NO! if you truly want to be sure then just look at history FOR YOURSELF look at all the prophecy that has been answered in the truth of the word made man "Jesus" There were hundreds of them mentioned in the old testament, made by many different people, over the course of thousands of years, and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM CAME TRUE. that would be like a group of people living from the time of christ till about 500 years ago describing our president now... and everything said..everything, was 100% accurate EVERYTHING. Now attach the athourity and claims made by these "phrophets" to be the voice of god, uttering gods commands, and will...
I think that's pretty profound.. multiple witnesses claiming all the same person but different aspects of his personality, and things done in his life..(look in Isaiah) And it all came together in one man Jesus

3) Each one of us has a different walk or relationship with god, that's why he says we are members of a body, and each member has a different job in relation to the others. so don't look at how others seem to feel, or the work that they do, and compare it to how you feel, and what we are doing. cause he also reminds that foolish men build there houses on sand. What does that mean? that the house "a Believers work" can look the same on the outside, but have nothing supporting it.. meaning: I can give and work with the poor, and you can as well sharing and doing the exact same thing, but because your doing it to feed your relationship with christ, and I'm doing it because "this is what good christians do" then I'm building a house of works on something "self righteousness" that will not stand gods good and perfect judgement (Has to do alittle with what was said in answer #2)

4)Have you ever been in love? I mean true knock down, drag out, don't care who's looking, "Except maybe her dad" in love? if no, then it's coming don't worry, and if yes then you know it's hard not to think, talk and want to be with the other person all of the time.. and when your not you want to talk about him... and well since we are supposed to have that kinda of relationship with jesus, and none of us as ever truly ever met him "Well except for the crazies" we fawn over what he has left us... his word it gives us insight, and understanding to the Man of our dreams, and to deni it for some of us would cause the stones on the ground to cry out and proclaim the word..
But, like he said we are not all the same so, you being a thumb, don't look at me and say I wish I was a booger, cause where would the body be with out a thumb?

5)if your talking bout going thru life, and not being labeled one of those "Crazy jesus freaks" then you can't.. It's all or nothing, How would you like it if the person you wanted to marry, didn't want to be seen with you in public? or wanted to chringe when anyone even knew that you were together??Why would that be ok for this relationship?? Instead look at the Crazies and look at how happy they are, and how in love they are.. What's wrong with that? Happy is happy no matter the circumstance.. sadly most of us would rather be rich and try to buy happiness, than to be poor and truly know happiness the rest of our lives... Pray that you can find happiness in the mist of your relationship. that's all that matters.

6)I think we've answered that one already, not all of us are to be a jabber box for jesus, but don't be afraid to answer the call or question of faith when your asked. that's all he expects of us or from you!

How do you know...

If you are going the right direction in terms of being a Christian...?
I continue to recieve confirmation through prophecy, God speaking to me while I read His word, and my God given great Faith.

Is it based solely on practice, faith and belief in Jesus Christ as the Lord our Saviour...?
Not solely but Those are the big ones.

What happens if you are not as passionate as other seem, but are doing exactly the same thing? Does this mean you are doing something wrong?
Not if that is where God wants you at that time.

Are we as Christians supposed to be consumed by the Word and talk about the Word in every conversation to show that we are living Christ Like?
That is what we all should aspire to be. That is a mature Christian.

Is there a balance? How does one incoporate Christianity into daily life?
Wake up every morning and ask God to lead you and keep Him in your thoughts all day long and Pray every moment.

What's the difference between a person living as a Christian and not discussing Christianity 'out of the blue' and someone living as a Christian and speaking about it with every breath...
Spiritual Maturity level.

Well I guess you could look for the fruits of the spirit emerging in your life:

Gal 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control.

And if you see the opposites of these popping up you know it's time for some weeding.
