How do you envision married life?

This forum needs an honest thread on what marriage is really like.

Well considering most are single and never been married.. they can think what they want really.

Being married myself and now divorced I see nothing wrong with what anyone invisions as that is what they want and deserve.

I am sure everyone know Marriage is not a bunch of roses and as with anything there are struggles but if you have a relationship a strong one with Faith and commitment anything is possible.

I don't know the details, but I want my married life(if it will exist) with my husband and I serving God together, praying together. I want to be a helpmate for my husband and serve him and our children as a wife and mother.

Marriage is like nothing, except that which you make it.

I'm sure it's not your intent, but my impression is that you dealt yourself a rotten hand and now want to share the bad news that it's going to be like that for most people. It doesn't have to be so. Nor do I think you'll let it be so if you choose to remarry.

I hope my marriage will be a 50/50 partnership. I'm not as concerned about how the roles would be split. I also hope that the person I marry understands that life will be difficult & our relationship is strong enough to weather the storms. I also hope it doesn't even feel like work most of the time.

I would like to be a housewife, take care of things at home, maybe garden some, cook, etc. Make a really nice, serene home that is a refuge for my husband, a place he will always want to be. We will go to concerts, out to eat, movies. And Sundays will be spent quietly, church and then whatever we want. Of course, all the usual stuff, love and respect, etc., lol. But I meant the practical stuff. Give details people.

I think I want it to be an equal partners thing...where both of us are sharing the responsiblity. I have a huge heart for teenagers, and really want both me and my future husband to be working together in this.
