CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It just kind of happened. We'd been heavily flirting for quite a while, and finally just came out and said it.

Met on CF, talked in private for a while and eventually talked on the phone.
I always had felt & expressed when we had been talking that if we lived closer together that I would have asked her out.
Eventually I was reading on CF and she mentioned off hand that she had a crush on someone but left it at that. I started asking her who it was and was surprised to find out that it was me.
We decided that I could and should come down there to visit her. I took a week's vacation and flew down. Her parents where kind enough to take me into their house for the week.
Since then we've been seeing eachother at least for a few days roughly once every 2 months.
The rest is history...

I met her in high school. I fell for her around the third time we met, albeit for the wrong reasons (she was cute, talented, and bookwormish). I chased her for about four years--even caught her a couple of times 
--but when she started college her mom encouraged her to (not joking here) "try to find someone better-looking."
I spent the next two years (last two of college, first two of law school) not giving her much of a thought--fell in love with someone else, lost my virginity to her, and thought I was going to marry her. But when I started law school we both took a step back and realized it wasn't meant to be.
The next two years I kind of went wild. Not "kind of." I was a flat-out lech and borderline alcoholic. Whenever I did see Stacy, I basically told myself I would never be good enough for her now--even when I saw glimmers that she thought differently.
This past summer I started cleaning myself up, facing my demons head-on, and getting back to basics with God. She saw the change. She got interested. I approached her much more casually than before--even kept dating other girls at first. Then she asked me to make it "official." I did.
And here we are. She amazes me more and more every day with how much she's grown and continues to grow both in God and as a mate.

We were just taking about this the other day. I started college in 2004, he started 2 years before me, we first met in the college group at church. I knew who he was but I didn't hang out in his crowd. Anyway, about a year and a half ago he started hanging out with a friend of my roommates boyfriend, all also from the church. We started watching movies at my house, go out to dinner as a group, stuff like that.

In a nutshell, he pursued me for a year and a half and I wasn't the slightest bit interested. I was pretty stubborn about it, actually. I ignored most of his attempts to try to get to know me better. At one point we had an open conversation about our feelings and I told him in no uncertain terms that I was not interested.
We hung out a lot in group settings, so we were able to observe each other and have some fun together. I started warming up to him a little bit but wouldn't admit it to myself. Then one night, ironically while on a date with another guy, I realized that he had everything I was looking for.
I just began talking with him after that, responding to his initiative and taking some initiative myself. I tried to flirt with him, but it took him awhile to really believe that I was flirting with him. One night we ended up exchanging a lingering hug, and at that point we both knew we were interested in each other. He seized his opportunity and we began our "relationship" not long after that.

She started going to my church, she had just moved to the city and was looking for work. The next time I saw her, I asked if she had found a real job yet, which didn't quite sound right and which she didn't like. I thought she was cool but that I had borked whatever shot I had with her. A couple months later, a friend at church was having a game night at his place, and we both went, and we were totally flirting all night. A couple months later, I grabbed her after church one evening and asked if she wanted to have dinner. We had dinner again, then I went over to her place another night to watch Dr Horrible and we talked about how we felt about each other and all that jazz, we got engaged a couple months later, and married about five months after that.

August 27, 2004- I start hitting on his best friend, who has no interest in me. He tells me to go talk to Tom over there, pushes me down a few stairs, and waits for me to start talking. Conversation started with the awkward "So um... what kind of movies do you like?" (I don't watch movies.)
Eventually progressed to Lord of the Rings (which I've read too many times.) Talk for seven hours about that. Go eat, then he asks me to come with him to the campus movie.
August 28th, 2004 After a game of Lord of the Rings Risk, he goes for a walk with the aforementioned best friend. Comes back and asks me out.

December 6th, 2004. Forced long distance relationship because of his development of lupus. Long distance relationship finally ends in mid-May 2009.

I met him on Craigslist Personals one day. I was on craigslist looking for a new apartment and I was bored, so I decided to browse the personal ads for "fun" (because frankly most of them were jokes and worth laughing over more than taking seriously). However, I found DH's ad and it was well-written so I dropped him an email. He emailed me back, we chatted on MSN for a couple hours, and then I got on a bus to go see him just a few hours after that
Fast forward about a month and he's offering me a place to stay because I was having trouble getting a new apartment with the limited funds I had on me. I moved in with him to save some money.
We started dating while I was there, I never moved out, and we married a year later.

Yes, well he kissed me during that first meeting when I hopped on the bus to go meet him after the MSN conversation
So I assumed he at least had some interest in me, obviously! Otherwise he would have kept his lips to himself and I would have gone home with just a new friend and nothing more

We chatted over the internet for months. He kept asking me to meet him and I refused because I didn't trust he wouldn't be a lunatic. Eventually, I decided to ask him if he would like to meet, in a public place and I would bring a friend. I told my friend I thought he was going to get on my nerves. I'd meet him once and never speak to him again. Yeah..well, I was pretty much smitten from the day I met him. I made it very clear that I liked him and he was clear that he liked me but he was dating another girl too. I was just getting ready to tell him to get lost (it had been a month) when he said he wanted to be with me. So..that was that.
I told my parents I met him at the mall. And technically..we did meet in person at the mall. I waited until they met him, loved him and then I admitted how we really met. My mom told him not to let me meet any more people off the internet.

We meet on a web dating site. Went out to play golf a couple of times. Then went out to dinner and dancing. More talking and finally have been dating for over 2 yrs. We knew because we wanted to be together.

We were both on staff here at CF and would talk on MSN while we worked reports into the wee hours of the night to keep each other sane.
After talking like that for almost a year, we just kinda integrated one another into each others hearts and got attached and it just sorta accidentally turned into something more than friendship. I mean, who'd have thought it. We were talking as friends for such a long time and never expected to fall for each other. But it happened. He flew out to see me in December and things were great and we've been together 5 months now.

I moved from Canada to Florida to work for Disney World... I ended up working with a girl that I thought was pretty cute. I went to her place a few times after work and we became pretty good friends. She was moving back to Canada though and I wasn't going to leave Florida. Anyways, I ended up getting caught at the wrong place at the wrong time and got my work visa taken away from me... so I decided to move back with this girl... over 5000 miles away from my previous home in Canada. Its all worked out pretty sweet though.

Met him at a bar through a mutual friend, talked non-stop for the entire week, met up the next saturday and the mutual friend asked me out because she said he was too scaredy-cat (he wasn't, he just wanted to wait for the right time). Been together for a year and two months, never been so happy in my entire life.

we met in jr high youth group. always kinda teased and flirted with ech other, I was in 8th grade, she was in 7th. we were friends for four years, and started dating my senior and her junior year in october, she actually let it slip that she liked me, and i caught up really fast, haha.. she's totally amazing and I love her so much, and i cant wait to marry her
