I can't tell how hateful a God might be suggested by the post you replied to, but I have no faith in a hateful god either.Unfortunately, I don't have enough hatred to have faith in such a hateful god.
It's impossible.A lot of people quote the Bible to try to support their arguments about what God is thinking, or about what God might do.
But this is just a simple question. What process do you go through before deciding that the verse is inspired by God to begin with?
Unfortunately, I don't have enough hatred to have faith in such a hateful god.
Here are some of the common mistakes your kind make when addressing these difficult issues. That remains your own wrong speculation that He's a hateful God. Your lack of intelligence however says nothing about who He is.
The common mistakes your kind made include the following,
Christians often claim that "God is love." Just a cursory reading of the bible is enough to suggest otherwise. In fact, the god character often exhibits classic rage behavior, and base emotions. And ironically, you're right, it's not necessary the god love everyone the same. Clearly, it does not.1) You assume that God loves everyone the same, while it's not necessary.
Here's a better analogy. You love humans so much, you feel a need to create them, flaws and all. Then you realize you don't like your flawed creation, and arbitrarily choose to protect certain children, and condemn to death the others. It's not the humans fault they were created this way. The creator should have known better. Here's an analogy. Do you love apples? People love apples however it by no means says that it includes the rotten apples full of worms inside! God loves you, but that's before you turn yourself into a rotten apple in His eyes.
Which most reasonable people should find appalling. Stoning your teenage daughter because she was raped, because her soul needs saving is a bit excessive, don't you think?2) God sets His morality on the baseline of souls, unlike humans who set their baseline of morality on bodies.
Here's another flaw in the way your kind thinks, an omnipotent being could, if it really cared, as you claim it does, decree all souls are saved. Personally, if I had the option to save all my kids from a burning fire, I would. But that's just me, and I consider my morals to be higher than those in the bible.Humans consider an act is immoral whenever an innocent is bodily hurt. God's job however to ensure that souls saved can be maximized. To put it another way, everyone will have to die one way or another, this won't weigh in comparing to the suffering when someone is sent by law to an eternal hell.

what does God say about this ? (I'm pretty sure someone already answered)A lot of people quote the Bible to try to support their arguments about what God is thinking, or about what God might do.
But this is just a simple question. What process do you go through before deciding that the verse is inspired by God to begin with?
Ahhh..... so you have chosen to believe the god of this world, the prince of the power of he air, the devil, whose only purpose in coming is to kill, steal and destroy ....Unfortunately, I don't have enough hatred to have faith in such a hateful god.
I believe you believe this. The common mistake your kind made is that you don't know the purpose of earth!
God's goal is to build an eternity called heaven. Naturally not everyone can be there as a result of freewill!
Freewill in a nutshell is a choice between 0 and 1. Ultimately your choice on earth is to be with God or not! There's nothing in between.
The other mistake you kind made is about what is love. God said many many times in the Bible that He loves only His sheep as a good Shepherd. He never said that He loves the wolves and His sheep the same!
In reality, a mother loves her son unconditionally but not those who trying to harm his son. The mistake you kind always made is to assume that unconditional means loving everything alike. That's not what love is! If the mother's love is unconditional, she will protect her son with her own life, including the measure of killing those trying to kill her son in a cruel way! That's the nature of love. You kind however think that the unconditional love of the mother should include loving those trying to kill her son.
God knows who is who. So at a certain point, you don't need to assume that He loves everyone the same. Only humans can't tell a wolf from a sheep, a wheat from a weed, a son from one who's trying harm him. You don't know who you yourself are, but God knows, whether you are a wolf or a sheep!
I believe you believe this.
What I believe is not a made up by myself.
It's the testimonies of those willing to martyr themselves for what is said!
And this is the only way how humans can get to a truth of this kind.
Do you have a better suggestion.Of course.
1. Reality exists.
2. We can learn some things about reality.
3. Falsifiable models with predictive capabilities work better than those without (i.e. religions).
You don't!!!
I did!!!
Yeah, I have no way to verify your claims.
I don't buy this claim. People die for all kinds of things. I believe this says more about their mental state, than reality.
Which would explains the hundreds of thousands of religions throughout human history. Er, wait, you were being ironic, right?
Of course not. They die for other people's lies.People don't die for their own lies.
Someone missed something, alright. That's what you have missed.
The only thing martyrdom proves is that people are able to convince themselves of just about anything. To put it another way, eye-witnesses martyring themselves is the only way for humans to validate a valid testimony! You won't have another way to make it more credible!
Of course not. They die for other people's lies.
People don't die for their own lies.
Actually... I think human nature is such that most will. Ego will defend it's position to the death, just like Truth will. And therein lies the problem.
As far as how I determine if a statement in the Bible is from God, the red text is usually a good indicator. I'd recommend starting there first. I'm not a Sola-Scriptora literalist though. I don't view the Bible as a stand-alone Infallible. I view it as Sufficient.
Can you give an example on how a sane person (or 10 out of the 12) choose to die for a false testimony made up by himself?
Not of the original Apostles or eyewitnesses - I believe they witnessed what they said. I was speaking of human nature in general, which I honestly do not consider to be sane.
There's plenty of examples (see Heaven's Gate cult). As for your claim that most of the disciples were martyred, do you have any evidence for this? Can you give an example on how a sane person (or 10 out of the 12) choose to die for a false testimony made up by himself?
Ahhh..... so you have chosen to believe the god of this world, the prince of the power of he air, the devil, whose only purpose in coming is to kill, steal and destroy ....
One god , or the True God - choose Today who to serve. (it is a life and death, once for all decision)
