How do you define Vulnerability?

What does it really mean to vulnerable?

Would anyone be willing to share with me, please?

In what sensee do you mean vunerable?
We are all vunerable to illnesses, to a bullet etc when the media etc talk about vunerable people they mean those people who are at risk from unscrupulous people who would take advantage either secually or financially of them.

A good place to investigate what any word means is a dictionary and then to explore how he internet looks at or use that word.

I always thought of 'making myself vulnerable' as communicating real feelings within a relationship.
When you communicate real feelings, another human being (presumably with the same level of honesty) gives their response to those feelings (which they may or may not agree with, like, dislike). And I'm a bit oversensitive to that, depending on the person I'm giving them to. Honesty makes one vulnerable; it's your actual position.

I never give away my actual position if I think someone is going to shell it with artillery ;)

I also think of it in the tactical sense as like an Achilles Heel.

For example, if you were to do something that seemed like a good idea at the time
and coordinate all your military toys on the ground via satellites GPS in space;

Your military on the ground would be practically invulnerable.
But your satellites, are not...

It's "the area you don't want to get hit in"

It's to have your weaknesses exposed.

We call a child vulnerable because they can't protect themselves physically, and their minds aren't sufficiently matured as to be safe from people manipulating them.

Adults can be vulnerable too when they expose their weaknesses to others, such as when a man (or woman) puts his heart out in the open for another to see his true feelings, he becomes vulnerable to rejection and all the feelings that come with that rejection.

Whenever you expose the real you, the you without clothes on so to speak, you become vulnerable to being hurt because your exposing your true self and putting it all out on the line.

In our faith, we are supposed to put ourselves out there, exposing all of our own weaknesses and allow the clothes we wear to be Christ and the armor HE left us with.

But sometimes that's really hard to do. Christ did it, the Apostles did it, and they didn't exactly have an easy road, though the reward exponential.

But that is true vulnerability, to be naked before men save the tools God gave us, because in that we risk every kind of hurt that mankind can dish out.

But it's also our real truth without pretence... and in that, we become vulnerable (to attack) because we are exposed when our weaknesses are on display.
