Not quite sure that this is the place to post this but I dont know where else to post it. The security company I work for has lost the contract where I work. The company that was awarded the contract has decided to retain me. However, the others will not be retained. One person in particular may or may not continue to work for the old security company but if so it will be at a much lower wage. It was stipulated by the client that he not be retained by the new company to work where we work. Its no great mystery as to why the client does not wish him to be retained. What I would like to know is how do you deal with the knowledge that while you may be keeping your job the other person most likely will not? This has been going on for about six months and it was on Dec. 1st or thereabouts that I was told about the new company and that the person in question would not be retained. And for that long this has made me very anxious and depressed and pretty much tearing me apart. I hate to see anyone lose their job but I cant say its coming as a surprise to me. He has a personality problem and I think an addiction. At the risk of repeating myself what I would like to know is how do you deal with the knowledge that although you may or will retain your job the other person will not?
If you would like to know the persons personality problem and what I think his addiction then please PM me but only if you reply to this post. Thank you for your time.
