How Do You Break the Ice?

I so want to evangelise to everyone I see, but it is so hard for me to get a conversation going about God, without sounding like I am trying to condem people. So how do you all break the ice and get talking about God, to complete strangers?

You start by getting a hammer, then beat the ice until it is in a bunch of pieces. Actually, I have the same problem. I am shy with strangers. What do others do?

sometimes when i'm in line at a store and the person checking me out asks, "how are you?" sometimes i say, "i'm doing just great. God is so good!" sometimes i get a response like, your stupid. it has started some converstations.
if you pray while talking to someone God will bring you a way to slip his name in. afterall everything's for his glory. if you pray about it God will bring people into your life to witness to. He's pretty cool with divine appointments!! live your life for him and let your actions show his love. people will start to ask and you'll give a response.

Don't try and force the issue, not because you don't want to but let the Lord control and guide the situation. As soon as you try and take control, God allows you....and that is the worst thing that can happen. Your attitude of love and accpetance....no matter who they are...will attract them to find out what it is about you that is so loving and forgiving. They will naturally ask why (obviously this is not always the case).

In regards to complete strangers you only meet once, it is very difficult to have a lasting impact in just a short space a time. So here you must let the Lord guide you. Usually it is a tug towards someone that you just can't escape (well I shouldn't say usually but that is how I have experienced it). For people you interact with day in and day out, your character will attract them. If you have the heart of God they will see the difference and can only wonder what it is.

I am sure that you will find that the Lord so wants to guide you in these ways, just be open to him and repent, repent, repent and then simply obey.

You don't. Don't evangelize complete strangers, make friends with them, then tell them about Christ.
