How do we know who is right?

As long as we are following the teachings of the Bible to the best of our knowledge,we ARE right.If you truly give your life over to Christ,God will lead you in the right path.

There is a wide variety of doctrinal and moral beliefs among Christians and most will claim to be led by God in the right paths. Can they all be right?

I think searching for the perfect denomination is like searching for fool's gold. I have burned up much time in denominational debate. It's interesting but it doesn't make me feel closer to God.

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

For me my faith has two sides. There is the intellectual side and the emotional or intuitive side. I had to find a church I could intellectually agree with and also one that "felt" right. Then I had to pray about it. I believe if we pray hard enough God will give us an insight or help us to know which church is right.

The beautiful thing about getting a slice of faith, for me, is that I am less concerned with what others think. I'm no theologian and it's ok. I respect theologians but I know that's not my role in life.

I told a guy at my church that I was getting to a point where I didn't care so much what other people thought. It's not that I think I know more than them, it's just that for now I'm content with the little slice of truth God has given me.

So many Christians have so many different ideas and theological positions about God...how can we ever know who is right and who isn't? Which denomination really has the right of it all and which denominations are wrong? What if we pick the wrong one without knowing it?

...lol. You don't know you have everything right. We never will until Jesus is here. A bit of advice though would be to not just go for the guy that talks loudest.

The short answer is that people think differently in general and come to church with SELF. People never change as a whole, but you can understand why if you pump the bible into your heart. God will show you the truth if you listen to him. Take the verse Romans 10:17, do you understand what is really being said there? When you do your question will be answered.
