I come from a strict Latin SDA church background, moderate Anglo SDA church, and 'celebration' SDA church. I preach the scriptures and where the Holy Spirit leads me, and consider all believers to be my brothers and sisters in Christ. Do I qualify to be a 'Traditional Adventist'?

I posted this in the Progressive sub-forum also as I think the weakness of our TRAD/PROG sub-forums is obvious immeadiately as that there is no way to identify who is what, does anyone have suggestions?

Red Love--no offense, but why are you trying so hard to unite those who really don't want to be forced into co-habitation?

When the vote was taken if this forum should be split-up until the moment ICE recruited those who had no business voting (notice that they are all gone now?), the vote was very much in favor of a split.

If you go to Mankin's thread, you will notice that even though only 4 ppl. have voted, once again, the desire is for seperate and distinct forums.

Red--I know your intentions are good for wanting one forum without ANY sub-forums, but the truth is scripture is once more proving itself....'can two walk together unless they be agreed"?

Red--as much as you AND I would love to have loving unity-it just isn't going to happen. The issues run too deep and too strong for the warring factions to come together.

I'm not saying that we can't get along--we should. But as long as we disagree so vehementley on such basic doctrines as baptism, IJ, spirit of prophecy..etc..then the potential for harsh outbreaks is very likely.

I really think you need to lay this down Red. It's bigger than any of us.

I think God would not want us to seperate, He will decide the wheat and the tares and I rely on His judgement. What I have found is that those that reject God cannot stand one thing and they flee from it with the greatest vigor and speed, and cannot stand to be near it or bear it, and that is loving them. If they reasonate with Gods love within their hearts, they respond, if they harden their hearts against it they dont want to be near it.

But Red--no one judging anyones salvation here. I certainly wouldn't do such a terrible thing.

But even the apostles at times had to split due to differences. The real problem here is that there are some individuals who are so empathically opposed to the FUNDAMENTAL teachings of the Adventist church that their theology cannot rightfully be called SDA.

It's terribly confusing and degrading for strangers to come into a forum labled 'Seventh-day Adventist and hear 2 or 3 DIFFERENT 'opinions' on what the official position of the church on certain topics actually is. This simply should NOT BE.

This is why I have used the word 'Babylon' to describe what it is that some ppl are trying to do, not only in this forum, but in our local churches as well.

The word Babylon as you know means, 'CONFUSION thru mixing'. If our message is MIXED--then it cannot give a CERTAIN sound and this churches end-time message to the world falls flat on it's face.

Remember the words of scripture..'A house divided against ITSELF-cannot stand'.

Red--instead of trying to force ppl together who really don't want to be together. Why not approach those who have drifted from the teaching of the church and travail with them to return? Wouldn't that make better sense? I think so.

No, my purpose in not to force ppl together...etc.. it is to defeat what Satan has put in our forum, we must come to God and let Him cleanse us of evil (including hate and anger), then go and fearlessly preach, teach and share the Gospel which Christ tells us begins with Love God and Love your fellowman (even those in our little forum) and God will do the rest and evil will be vanquished....
