I know there are some parents out there who like to think their children are god, but seriously, how 'normal' could a marriage be when you have given birth to God?
How many people in the bible, when touched by the divine, continued to live a 'normal' life afterwards?
Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and do.
Now that is a good point...
...How many people in the bible, when touched by the divine, continued to live a 'normal' life afterwards?... It would be a right not just the custom for the second born son to support his widowed mother.

Prior to the cross, the brothers of Jesus (same mother, different father) didn't believe in Christ (John 7:5). John did. The honor fell to him.
PS. John as cousin also had the right to care for Mary.
You're not normal either.I'm still pondering the word 'normal'. I'm not having much success.(as I look under my username)
Interesting observation. One ought to note that Mary is only ever called "the Mother of Jesus" and never called "the mother of <insert name here>" - check your bible and see.
Interesting observation.
Even though you believe everyone's a "catholic hater" it's not at all the case.
Perhaps rather it's the facts: Scripture says he has brothers... His mom married someone... who did not know her UNTIL...
So call it what you want, I call it seeking truth. And there's much "evidence" that Mary's was mom to others...
so why accuse us of malice?
It was the custom of the Hebrew people to allow moneychangers in the temple. We know how Jesus responded to that custom. That is not the point. It was custom and the way of the Hebrew people. It would be a right not just the custom for the second born son to support his widowed mother.
This appears to make more sense than Jesus being a slave to Hebrew custom which was pretty messed up, anyway.Sunlover1 answered accurately. Would you trust your parents to just anyone?

No scripture ever says Mary was the mother of any person except Jesus. That is the hard core fact. All the verses you mention (without citing explicitly) do not say Mary is the mother of any of those persons. I knew a woman who was not the mother of anybody but she had "sons and daughters" and those children had brothers and sisters but not one of them was hers.

Answer, none. Their lives were changed forever.
Matter of fact, she was taken away after Pentecost to Ephesus.
Here was the convincing point for me in my conversion...we know where many of the apostles are buried. We know where Peter, Paul, James, Mary Magdalene, are for certain. There is no place that claims, even hints, at having the tomb of Mary. We do have the Church of the Dormition. No tomb. Why not?
How many parents do you know that refer to their only child as their firstborn?
Well, God does; I guess that counts, right?
That's the perfect answer.
