This makes me saddened. This petty little differences arent important, what is important is Christ.

Methodist,Baptist,Presbyterian are all fine Churches to attend, pick one where you feel Christ draws you to.

And how should they pick one?

The discussion is a valid one. Determining where Christ is in fact calling us is important. Because Christ is so important, we want to be where he is calling us and where we feel is right for us. Understanding the underlying doctrinal beliefs is crucial.

I agree. I've been in the process of changing churches for the past few months and it's hard to decide where to worship. Oh sure, doctrinal differrences don't matter in the long run of eternity, but they do matter in the here and now.

It's like buying a car. Ultimately, you are looking for a safe vehicle with four wheels and a motor that can move you around reliably. When you distill it down to the actual purpose of a car, the choice is easy. Just go grab one and go.

But, we worry about features, colors, etc. I won't say price, because if the ultimate purpose was the only factor, then we'd all be driving a Kia Rio and cars would be cheap.

So, when we choose a church, we need to find the one with the doctrines that make us comfortable but give us room to grow spiritually while we are living out this life in preparation for the next.
