Today is such a struggle, and so will tomarrow be, how do I keep up the fight without loosing hope? The battle is so hard, some days I'm loosing big time, and some days I'm winning. The days that I'm winning are very good days and I look forward to the tomarrows, but on bad days...thier just bad days, no hope, no future, I done even want a tommarow. WHEN WILL THE FIGHTING END, WHEN WILL THE BATTLE BE OVER?

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What I do is try to focus on the positive things in my life. Dig out a photo album or home movies to help. Sometimes I need visual reminders. If that doesn't work, or if that just triggers more pain, then I treat myself to something I enjoy doing and just tune out tomorrow for awhile. Watch a movie, read a fun book, go shoot some baskets, exercise, play the piano. During the times I am not feeling like you do today, I write out a list that I can easily go to on the down days to help me get through them. I buy books or movies on the good days sometimes to have around for the bad days.
I do believe it will get better, and I will be praying for you. Hang in there.

It always help to talk to people, find someone else that is going through something like what you are. They will able to able you more then anything. It gives you comfort that other people are in the same situations that you are. Remember that your life is important to God and that he has you here for a reason. I'm not sure how long it lasts, I have had it for years and never been able to get rid of it, so I know exactly how you feel. It seems to never end, but you have to believe that God will help you out of it.4givenme said:

Lord has given you a place in His kingdom. So working for Him will fulfill your life. Really be pleasure when I want to do something for others (although I am often in depression). And I know this forum is one of my home to enjoy, serve and keep watch ------

I go to the Dr. but its seems like at this point no one can help me anymore. Ive tried many different meds, new antideppresants, Im at the bottom, I cant be hospitalized again, its too hard on my kids... I dont know what to dowonderwaleye said:

You have to have a mentor of some kind. Someone in your church who is truly filled with the Holy Ghost. God can get you through the battles, keep turning to Him. Keep praying. Keep reading His word. Do not give up the battle. He loves you, don't forget that no matter what the enemy whispers in your ear. I have prayed for you. Find others to pray for you. Find people in a church that you can have lay hands on you and pray for you. We all need each other as the body of Christ. Ask Him where to go for help and He will show you. Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit. Don't give up!

You are right and I do have a support group at church and family and Drs and meds, but I'm still the one stuck inside this brain of mine, trapped, everyday, day in and day out, its so frustrating, theres no escaping and praying and drawing near to God only makes me want to be with Him right NOW, nothing works.
