How do I go about doing this?

Hi all,

I was wondering what was the best way for me to encourage widespread devotion to St. Jude? I am currently praying a novena which requires me to do this in return for the favour that I am asking this saint for. Any ideas?

Maybe you could leave some prayer cards in the pews at Church?? Or take out an ad in the bulletin or the newspaper?

Take a look in the personal ads of you local daily newspaper. If you're in an area with more than about 10 Catholics, there will be at least 1 ads thanking some saint for favors granted.

Why don't you start a thread that explains exactly who this Saint is. The only thing that I know is that he is the patron Saint of lost causes. Some history of his life and miricles attributed to him would be a good start. Just my ideas Rosa

That's pretty much all I know as well. I liked Shannon's newspaper idea (I know other people who have done just this). However, due to the nature of the favour I asked for, well, it's going to to take a long time before it's going to be granted. So, if I don't have much of a testimony, what exactly should I say?

Boughtwithaprice: maybe I can find some links to websites about St. Jude and post them here, so that others can know more about his life (I'm sure that experts can explain it better than I can). I'll do it when I'm feeling a bit better (I'm a bit too sick to be coherent right now).

I have no idea what/who St. Jude represents either. Is there a Catholic book of Saints, telling us about them and how to pray with them, out there?? I'm really curious about this.

I meant that if you could look over the history of the church, and looked for testimony of others that have miricles attributed to him I wasn't expecting you to produce a miricle ........silly
