• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm so sorry my sweet sister for the tremendous losses and hardships you've gone through. I pray with all my heart that you will find God's peace through all this turmoil. I don't think you can skip the grieving process and there are various stages that people need to go through to fully grieve. Have you thought of going to a counsellor who is experienced in dealing with grief?

I'm trying prayer, devotion, fasting, seeking God, praise, worship , self-examination/repentance, learning how to give everything to God, living by faith really and truly trusting Him in all things--even with the pain, depression & temptations. A healthy diet, vitamins supplements, outreach to others who are hurting, taking care of pets, housecleaning, enjoying good music, in other words determine to enjoy something, the more the better and laughter helps. Going to a grief support group really helped me. I felt just like you but couldn't even function well. The things we learned in the group really helped. You can find these groups in places for the aged and at hospices. I'm praying for your healing. God bless you.
