How do I break the OCD cycle? I don't wish to go on the cycle of thought, anxiety, compulsion, relief, only to go to thought, anxiety, compulsion, and temporary relief again. I did look up information on "Silver Lining's Playbook" and I never watched the movie nor have I read the book. The thoughts were intense so I gave in. I looked up the information on both the movie and the book. I feel regret over having to give in. How do I deal with the thoughts so that I won't give in to the compulsion? I tried to let the thoughts pass but it stuck in my head so I gave in. How do you all deal with "stuck" thoughts, those thoughts that just won't pass? They just won't go away. I am still anxious after looking up the information. So how do I deal with the cycle of having OCD? How do I allow the thoughts to pass and "feeling" the anxiety while reconciling the fact that according to God's word, I am to be anxious for nothing?
