Once you are saved, you are already a priest that gives sacrifice to God. There is the sacrifice of the lips and worship. Our hands and body become living sacrifices put to use for God, and He calls us a royal priesthood and holy nation of people. There is work to be done in serving others too - the poor and needy. Jesus says that when we do something for even the least person, we have done it for Him.:

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Ro 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Heb 13:15 Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.

MATT. 25:31-45 When the Son of Man comes in his glory....He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.....Then he will say to those on his left,'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil & his angels. FOR I WAS HUNGRY & YOU GAVE ME NOTHING TO EAT, I WAS THIRSTY & YOU GAVE ME NOTHING TO DRINK, I WAS A STRANGER & YOU DID NOT INVITE ME IN, I NEEDED CLOTHES AND YOU DID NOT CLOTHE ME, I WAS SICK AND IN PRISON, AND YOU DID-- NOT LOOK AFTER ME.". "Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me."

Yes. If you trust in Jesus' sacrifice for your sins to be forgiven, that's what you need. You don't do this to earn God's love or favor or to appease His wrath.

Priesthood is not for everybody. As far as I know, only Catholic priests need to remain celibate. Ministers of other denominations can marry. And marraige does not penalize your satus with God, even if you have sex during marraige (which all married couples should do!) Single people are simply freer to do certain ministry work without having a family to come home to. And married Christian couples can experience God's love in ways that a single person will probably never understand. Plus, they would probably be a better choice for helping out other Christians with their marraiges since they know first hand what marraige is about. So this is a descision to weigh carefully. Follow God, and He will put you where He wants you.

Hi there!

this bothers me...

I don't know what I am but saved

If there isn't a time in your life when you know that your life changed because you submitted your will to the Lord's will, that you professed Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, a time when you were seeking the forgiveness of sins and seeking the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.....

If there isn't a time in your life when you can say, "hey, my life changed at that millisecond"!".... then you probably still need to seek God and insure you have that millisecond of change in your life.

Without that millisecond "change" in your life.... then you aren't the born-again believer that God wants you to be.

As Raphe already told you.... all believers are "priests"...

I want to give 100% of my LIFE to God and I am tired of living for my self.
Wonderful.... now ask God how HE wants to change you... to form you into what HE wants you to be. Pray for direction from God.
