  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How do Calvinists View Non-Calvinists?

I am convinced the true believer's walk of faith will be towards the full truths of Scripture, including the wonderful doctrines of grace. I am also convinced that their walk of faith, if it be the will of God that they live so long, will eventually also lead them away from their earthly church communions wherein such essentials are denied or diluted.

Well said. This was my experience.

I grew up in a Pentecostal church and spent the first 6 years of my Christian life in one as well. I was Armininan (Wesleyan) in my theology. During that time, I never looked at Calvinists as being heretics or whatever, rather they were brothers in Christ. I even appreciated RC Sproul and his Ligonier program. I didn't agree with him on TULIP, but I still found his program valuable. I also appreciated Calvary Chapel and James McDonald. Guess what? As a 5-pt Calvinist now, I still appreciate these men of God.
