Heh, it was easy for me, I started studying the Bible. I cannot see how people can read Scripture and come to some of the other conclusions they do.
This is where growing up in [non-Calvinist] Church tradition can have it's disadvantages. Extended exposure can easily have such an influence as to attach theological blinders from conditioning. This is one how, another is simply that Scripture involves Spirit, or spiritual discernment, which is to say, it is not like reading a history textbook or science textbook. The flesh works against the Spirit, the carnal mind rejects the things that are of the Spirit, and works at suppressing the truth. The default nature of man does not lend itself towards proper interpretation of the Word of God.
