I have learned how to use angels to a degree and I think I understand them somewhat.
I am including this web address to an informative article that I have read. It is a reasonable discussion on the subject and I an concluding that you could benefit from some general background info on the subject.
The above article will tell you that angels are not divine and should not be given praise. If, in ignorance, you would attempt to give praise to a being you consider to be an angel, an angel of God will not accept praise. The danger is that demons can masquerade as angels and they will happily accept praise and likely attach to you if you were to interact with them.
There is more to the subject than what I have included but you have to start somewhere.
