How can spirits burn in Hell???

My 11 years old daughter came to me and asked How do spirits burn in Hell If spirits do not have flesh then that do not have nerves to fell the heat and burn, so why would God make a flaming pit?? She stated it made no sense to her, Can you help us out here??

Sure.

I don't believe in an actual flaming hell, but rather a play on words to describe the pain of separation from your Father. Gehenna.


Because we will all be resurrected. We will get indestructible bodies. Read 1 Corinthians 15, I believe. Since we will have physical bodies once more in the afterlife, we'll be able to experience it.

And as I stated, I don't beleive hell is physical pain, but spiritual pain. There is no greater pain than being separated from God. TTYL Jesus lvoes you!
