You ceased to be neutral the moment you defended Catholics and their understanding of the Gospel.

Actually, he was singing the Lord's Prayer, not the Gospel.
No, I defend you as well -
I defend BOTH.
That IS neutral.

I'm simply saying there are saved & lost in BOTH camps becuz
so many of each side believe different things.
Not ALL Catholics believe & worship like all others -

I also don't defend ALL their understanding of scripture.
I take issue with those who deify Mary (and those are the ones
I don't believe can be Christian since they claim she's God/a god &
worship her as such specifically) -

I take issue with intercession from Mary (for Mary to hear them, she'd
have to be omnipresent which only God is) -
if they view prayer to her as intercession, then I'm not convinced they
are literally worshipping her altho that argument/accusation is
valid to make.
Again, it's all in what people are doing knowingly by motive & knowledge.
God knows that, I don't.
Many can just be misled but not lost becuz they DO accept the central
tenets of salvation.

I also take issue w/ purgatory & works (but those do not make someone
lost if they accept the gospel proper).
I see that as no different a doctrinal skew as those who claim one must be baptized to be saved........
they can be saved, but just mistaken.

It's not really bigotry to compare what is truth against the scriptures, and it is certainly not the first time that segments of society were unable to get along.
Truth is not bigotry.
Although there ARE haters here at CF,
most of it's usually just a couple of
immature folks who dont know when to
give it up.

Yep. It is not really hard to get into the flesh on CF either, and start arguing for the sake of arguing. We are suppose to be at peace though.

Now, there are Catholics (individuals who worship in a Catholic Church) that, IMHO, take their Marian devotion a bit... well, far. And while I am 100% convinced that even they do not regard Mary as divine (and thus do NOT "worship" Our Lady in THAT sense) there is a devotion essentially the same. But, in my experience, many Catholics are as "troubled" by that as Protestants. WE ALL can get a bit carried away. Again, I don't think the RCC is - but some Catholics are.
This has been my whole point that you touch on here,
different ones believe different aspects of different dogmas
that the church has put forth.

Now I'll use an example of PETA - (People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals).
I was a long time member of PETA becuz I fully support their
standards & principles for animal treatment & liberation.

But here's the problem, SOME things PETA does & ways they
have done some campaigns, I'M AGAINST. I stand for the
majority of their efforts & work, but I don't accept absolutely
EVERYTHING they've done or how they've done it.

So many people attack ALL animal rights people based on their
drastically negative view of a few radical things these groups have said
or done. But it doesn't make their cause bad, wrong or evil.

That's how I view this issue.
& if any NonCatholic Christians think that all our nonCatholic
denominations are so perfect, they're blind!
Catholics have PLENTY of denoms. they can point to to make
attacks on false teachings, heresy or error.

I just think there are much bigger culprits to go after -
like the Unorthodox which to me is a much more severe problem
in our postmodern world, doing alot more damage to the faith
than this fued.

I don't appreciate that remark. Catholics worship God alone - only He do we worship

We worship no man. We only give the respect that is due the pope's office
What you say here does not add up to what we see happen before us, nor what is written as doctrine for your denomination, and I don't see any change happening anytime soon.....

Indeed. I challenge you to show me any Catholic doctrine that states we should worship anyone besides God

So he was singing the Gospel.

Thank you for contradicting yourself

No, he was singing the Lord's Prayer, not the Gospel.

Thank you for proving my point that Catholics don't have the slightest clue what the Gospel is.

Catholics do not deny the sufficiency of Christ's atonement. So, as usual, you are wrong

That's great. I'm happy to hear that Catholics no longer believe in Purgatory.

and most protestants would still find a reason for the RC to be called "harlot of babylon".
I think you should rephrase this to say "some protestants" instead of "most protestants." Unless you can verify that you have met "most protestants," and they have stated that they believe the harlot of Babylon to be the RCC . . . :preach:
